Muriel Wilkins
Founder and CEO of Paravis Partners, Author, and Host of the Harvard Business Review podcast Coaching Real Leaders
Thanks for listening to this episode of Meikles & Dimes with Muriel Wilkins. What often holds us back as leaders isn’t the ability to grasp some new tactic. Rather it’s the beliefs we hold about ourselves.
Many of the mindsets that helped us succeed early on—like needing to be involved in every detail, always being right, or not being willing to make a mistake—can hold us back later.
Overcoming these limiting beliefs starts with curiosity: noticing when we’re frustrated or blocked, asking what belief might be driving that feeling, and challenging whether it’s still true.
In summary, great leaders learn to coach themselves—to question their thinking so they can identify their limiting beliefs and make better decisions. It’s a simple idea. Please take it seriously.
