Jennifer Latson

Writer, Pulitzer Prize Finalist, and Author of The Boy Who Loved Too Much.

Thanks for listening to this episode of Meikles & Dimes with Jennifer Latson. What an interesting, inspiring story she shared.

Williams Syndrome, which occurs in about one in 10,000 people, makes people incapable of distrust, so people with Williams Syndrome love everyone. I loved hearing Jennifer describe her relationship with Eli, who wants to hug everyone he meets. And even if Eli may be inarticulate or even awkward at times, his sincerity shines through, and people love Eli in return.

And I especially love what Eli and others with Williams Syndrome teach us. That it’s not always about what we say, or how we say it. But rather, if we are genuinely curious about people and want to connect with them, they will feel it, and they will be forgiving if we aren’t the most articulate or charismatic.

It’s a simple idea. Please take it seriously.
